Intra-uterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure of placing sperm inside a woman’s uterus to facilitate fertilization. With the use of a catheter, washed sperm is directly put into the uterus of a woman. This method effectively increases the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently enhances the chance of fertilization.
