IVF, or In Vitro Fertilization, is a process in which the eggs and sperm are fertilized in a lab. It involves the following steps: egg retrieval, where the eggs from the ovaries are taken out with minor surgery; then fertilization is done by mixing eggs and sperm in the lab; and lastly, embryo transfer, in which the formed embryo is transferred to the womb for further growth.
